Nimrod, or “Nim,” is a chihuahua who usually speaks before he thinks, often resulting in hilarious opinions.
↓ TranscriptCon: This is a holy day.
Amos: A day we pay tribute to those who protect us & our freedoms.
Nim: John 15:13 says it best, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
Abby & Jerry: My God bestow a special blessing upon each and every one of America's veterans.
We salute all our veterans, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you.
↓ TranscriptNim: Con, why are there so many numbers in the Bible?
Con: Well, some people think the numbers hold keys to a better understanding of the Bible.
Con: Others think they relate to events that make sense of prophecy after the fact.
Con: Why do you ask?
Nim: I wanted to make sure there's not a math test to get into Heaven.
The test to get into Heaven is only one sentence: Do you accept Jesus Christ as your savior?
↓ TranscriptNim: I'm still reading the Bible cover to cover.
Nim: I've really been enjoying it.
Nim: But last night, I got to 1 Chronicles and all the "begats."
Con: And?
Nim: It begat a good night's sleep!
The "begats" of 1 Chronicles and Matthew are important to show the family lineage of Christ.
↓ TranscriptNim: I'm reading my Bible cover to cover.
Abby: How's that going?
Nim: I think it needs a car chase.
Abby: They didn't have cars back then.
Nim: And a handsome British agent to save the day.
Abby: (Oh brother).
Abby: I see you've been watching James Bond movies again.
Nim: I've got the title: "Live & Let Die & Live Again."
The Bible is full of exciting stories, but there aren't any car chase scenes!
↓ TranscriptAbby: Solomon was the wisest man in the old testament.
Nim: People sometimes tell me I'm wise.
Nim: Why, just yesterday, Con told me I was a real "wise guy."
Abby: That's not the same kind of wisdom, Nim.
Nim: Well, I should hope not.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of true knowledge - Proverbs 1:7
↓ TranscriptNim: I've been praying for God to change the way I behave.
Con: Like what?
Nim: Like staying focused on thing at a ti...HEY, A SQUIRREL!
Con: I'd keep praying if I were you.
Nim: I love squid...LOOK, A BIRD!
God will help us change anything about ourselves that we don't like.
↓ TranscriptCon: So you've been praying that God would change your bad habits?
Nim: Yeah.
Con: You should pray for God to make you listen to other people more.
Nim: Yeah, I know. People always say, "Nim, you never listen."
Nim: At least I think that's what they say. I'm not always paying close attention.
You can learn a lot more about God and yourself if you listen to others.
↓ TranscriptNim: I started off the day doing really well in my walk with God.
Nim: I didn't gossip, complain, fib, get mad, be greedy or do any of the things I've been trying to change.
Abby: That's great. Then what happened?
Nim: The alarm went off and I had to get out of bed.
Sometimes it's hard to do what you know is right, but it's always worth trying.
↓ TranscriptNim: Today might be the day I'll fight off pirates!
Nim: Or battle space aliens!
Nim: But whatever battle I have to face...God will be on my side.
Nim: He's kind of my secret weapon.
