I Love My Jesus!
How big is your love for Jesus?
Matthew 28:16-20 – The Great Commission
The Great Commission is actually Jesus’ challenge to his disciples – and all Christians – to spread God’s Word and New Covenant throughout the world.
Nim: Okay. A-hem!
Nim: Jesus told his apostles to go out and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. But Thomas raised his hand and asked, "What do WE get out of this?"
Nim: And Jesus said, "7 percent on a sliding scale."
Abby: (What the...?)
Nim: And that's what known as "The Great Commission."
Abby: It is not!
Mark 1:9-12 – Jesus and John The Baptist
One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River. As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.” – Mark 1:9-12
Con: That's neat. It's just like John and Jesus.
Abby: Yeah, but a little different.
Con: How?
Abby: I don't think Jesus was baptized to the sounds of "Marco...Polo!"
Matthew 14 – Jesus Feeds 5000
Jesus feeding 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish is the only miracle that appears in all 4 gospels: Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:31-44, Luke 9:10-17 and John 6:5-15.
Abby: With 5 loaves and 2 fishes.
Abby: How about that miracle?
Jerry: He should open a restaurant.

Christian Cartoon
Transcript:
What is The most important commandment? Jesus says you “must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.”
“With all your heart” means you don’t love anything more than you love God.
“With all your soul” means you welcome the Holy Spirit into your life and allow it to guide you in every way.
“With all your strength” means you’ll do whatever God calls you to do, no matter how hard. See, the Commandments are as
easy as 1…2…3!

Ask Jesus For Help If You Get Depressed
Nim tells Con he feels better after asking Jesus for help with feeling sad. You can ask Jesus for help too. Just ask him to heal you, give you comfort and walk with you during hard times.
Nim: Yep!
Nim: I asked Jesus for help and He took care of me.
Con: I'm glad to hear it.
Nim: Me too. I was lower than a snake's belly crawling in a ditch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
Con: How long have you been waiting to use that one?
Nim: All week.
John 14:2 – Jesus Has Prepared A Place For You
“ There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” – John 14:2
Con: No, a place.
Nim: The thing is a place?
Con: No, Jesus has prepared a place.
Nim: To put the thing in?
Con: No, to put YOU in.
Nim: I'll be put in some...THING?
Con: You're not listening to me. Jesus is preparing a place for you. End of story!
Nim: The thing is a story? Are there car chases?

John 5: Jesus Heals the Man at the Pool of Bethesda
Con tells Nim about one of Jesus’ greatest miracles: Healing the man who could walk at the pool of Bethesda. But Nim gets a little confused.
Con: A man wasn't able to walk and had been in his bed for many years. Jesus said to him, "Rise...and pick up your bed." And the man did.
Nim: Wow, that's definitely a miracle.
Con: I mean, a headboard alone can weigh 50 pounds, but a whole bed, that's impressive!
