Proverbs 6 – False Witness Who Pours Out Lies
According to Proverbs 6:16-19, the sixth thing the Lord hates is “a false witness who pours out lies.” That leads Nim to talk about others being “gossipy.” Do you gossip about others or tell stories that aren’t 100% true? Read Proverbs now and pray for God’s forgiveness and ask Him to help you live as he wants you to live:
Proverbs 6:16-19
Con: Have you ever heard her being a gossip with your own ears?
Nim: No...
Con: Then you're the gossip.
Nim: I hear that Abby is cool and smart and so good-looking!
Con: Nice try.
The sixth thing the Lord hates is "a false witness who pours out lies."

Proverbs 6:16-19
Con: What are you doing?
Nim: The fifth thing the Lord hates are feet that are quick to rush to evil.
Con: And?
Nim: And I'm practicing how to stop them, just in case it ever comes up.

Proverbs 6:16-19

Nim: You heard me, smart guy.
Con: Well...a "wicked scheme" would be an unrighteous act that is extremely offensive, both morally and spiritually.
Nim: Would acting really cute for my master just to get an extra cookie be a wicked scheme?
Con: No.
Nim: EXCELLENT!
The 4th thing Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us that God hates is "a heart that devises wicked schemes."

John 15:13

Nim: John 15:13 says it best, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
Abby & Jerry: May God bestow a special blessing upon each and every one of America's veterans.
Psalm 131 And Haughty Eyes
Nim is reading Psalm 131 and trying to make sure his character is in line with God’s teaching. Have you taken the time to make sure you’re living as God wants you to?
Psalm 131
Abby: Huh?
Nim: I'm reading Psalm 131. I've made sure my hearts not proud. I don't concern myself with great matters and I've put my hope in the Lord. But I need to make sure my eyes aren't haughty.
Abby: Nope. Not haughty. They're a little bloodshot. And you've got some crust in the corners.
Nim: Hey!!!
Psalm 131 shows us that we shouldn't judge others. Judgment is to be left to God.
Jonah and the Whale
Jonah and the Whale is the subject of Nim’s journalistic pursuit. He may get answers to who, what, where, when, why and how without understanding the story. Do you ever confuse details with wisdom? You might know all the answers to a test, but not understand how to apply that to your life. Read about Jonah and Whale today and pray for God’s wisdom to understand the meaning rather than focusing on the specifics.
Jonah 1-2
Abby: Okay, one day Jonah...
Nim: Who?
Abby: Jonah. And a whale...
Nim: What?
Abby: A whale...
Nim: Where?
Abby: Umm...
Nim: When? Why?
Abby: Hey!
Nim: Well, I think that covers just about everything. So why do I feel like I've forgotten something?
Abby: Keep it up, and I'll make you forget something!
Nim: How?
You can read about Jonah and the whale in Jonah 1 and 2.
