Each day, take a few minutes to give thanks to God for all he has done for you. Gratitude is one of the most powerful ways to connect with God on everyday.
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
Take a step back from the path you’re traveling on to assess whether it’s the path God wants you to tread. It’s easy to get lost when you’re not looking.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
Amos: So your quest for world domination has come to a close, huh?
Nim: Yeah, I finally understood that I was putting my faith in money instead of in God. And that God is the only one who can have dominion over the world.
Amos: That's a very mature attitude.
Nim: I know. And now I can focus on what I REALLY want.
Amos: What's that?
Nim: Pure, raw power!
Do you do things to bring glory to God or to bring glory to yourself?
God wants us to succeed in everything we do, but we should never put the pursuit of money ahead of our relationship with God. Proverbs 13:17 speaks to this:
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.
Con: What's wrong?
Nim: Abby pointed out something bad I've been doing. I was trying to get rich quick so I could have power over my own destiny, instead of trusting God to care for me.
Con: Cheer up, little guy. At least you see the error of your ways.
Nim: I know. But now I don't get to dominate the world!
Do you trust that God will take care of you everyday? Or do you constantly worry about things, trying to take full control yourself? Let go and let God.
Nim: My newest scheme is gonna make me millions!
Abby: Why is it so important to you to make millions?
Nim: Because...well...um...because...you see...it's...I...
Abby: It's not because you don't trust God to take care of you and that you have to take care of yourself, is it?
Nim: You know, you're sucking all the fun out of the world domination thing.
Making money is good as long as it doesn’t replace God in your life. Be sure you keep Christ in your heart as you do the work necessary to make money.
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Nim (writing): The brash young inventor worked overtime, putting the final touches on his scheme to make millions of dollars in the Christian marketplace...
...the plan was so simple, yet it would bring total market domination! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaa!
Nim: Mwah-ha-ha's are more fun when someone is around to hear them.
Having a big plan is a great idea, but be careful you're doing it for the right reasons.
Jesus saying “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into Heaven” is recounted in 3 of the 4 books of the Gospel. That’s how important a message this is.
But be sure to avoid the common misconception of the passage’s meaning. It doesn’t mean rich people can’t get into Heaven, it means no one can get into Heaven without God, no matter how rich or powerful they may be. Remember the line Jesus says to follow up this well-known statement, “But with God, all things are possible.”

Jerry: How go the moneymaking schemes, Nim?
Nim: I've given up on them. I read in the Bible that it's easier for a camel to pass through a needle than for a rich man to get into Heaven.
Jerry: No...it's a needle.
Nim: A needle through a noodle? That doesn't sound too hard!
Jerry: No, you...
Nim: Get ready world! Nim's scheme machine is back in business!
The Bible has a lot to tell us. Make sure you understand what it says.
Nim’s always coming up with crazy schemes to make money. While it’s good to be ambitious & to work hard, don’t replace your faith in God with love of money.
Proverbs 10 offers a glimpse into the Godly way to approach business and money.

Nim: I have an idea that's gonna make millions!
Amos: What is it?
Nim: I'm gonna make a bunch of products that all ask "What Would Jesus Do?"
Amos: Already been done.
Nim: What done Jesus do?
Before making any big decision, ask yourself "what would Jesus do?"
Sometimes being grateful is hard, especially when it’s about something we don’t like, but is good for us. Try to stay gratitude to God for all He gives you.
Nim: I hate going to the vet! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!!!
Abby: You should try to change your perspective. Try to have gratitude that God has provided us with modern medicine. Instead of saying "I hate the vet!" say "Thank you, God for creating talented veterinarians I can go to."
Nim: Easy for you to say. You don't have to go to the vet today.
Abby: True.
Sometimes it's hard to remember to give thanks for things that aren't fun. Try to do it anyway.
Some people mistakenly think salvation is a “Get Out Of Jail Free” card, letting us to do whatever we want. But sincere faith calls for desiring God’s will.
Nim: My friend said it's okay for Christians to sin because God's forgiveness is like a free pass to do whatever you want.
Abby: Your friend is wrong. And if he thinks that way, he might not have sincerely accepted Christ.
Nim: It's funny. That's EXACTLY what I told him! Actually, I just said "Shut up, you pootyhead!" But the gist was the same as what you said.
God's forgiveness through Christ isn't a "Get out of Jail Free" card for us.
Ever feel like you’re not getting something you want? Just say a prayer for God to help you. He’s got a plan and he knows our needs before we even need it.
Nim: It is so hot outside! I'm burning up! Why is God making me so hot this summer?
Con: God's already taken care of you. He made it so that when a dog gets hot, he pants. Why don't you try that?
Nim: I don't have any pants.
