Nim: How did Mary and Joseph do Jesus' birthday parties?

Nim: How could they top that first celebration? Kings knelt before Him. He was given gifts of gold. God even hung a star in the sky for Him.

Con: Jesus' birth was a miracle gift from God. His birthday parties aren't important.

Nim: I bet they had a clown.
Con: Speaking of clowns.

All through the month of December, think about the miracle of Jesus' birth.

Nim: No, I could be 12 years old. Just give me a few years and I'm there.

Con's Big Bible Facts

Con: Isaiah is an interesting Book of the Bible.

Con: First, Isaiah's constructed just like the Bible: There are 66 books in the Bible and 66 chapters in Isaiah. The first 39 books of the Bible deal mainly with Israel, as do the first 39 chapters of Isaiah.

Con: The last 27 books of the Bible concern the life and coming of Jesus Christ, as do the last 27 chapters of Isaiah. In fact, these 27 chapters of the Old Testament predict Jesus, listing more than 20 things about him that came true!

Con: What does all this mean? Beats me, but it's pretty darned neat!

The Bible is a wonderful and amazing thing...But why would God write anything less?

The Epistles

Nim: And I said, "They were the wives of the Apostles."

Amos: "What did he say?"

Nim: "Not muc. He just put his face in his hands and mumbled "Give me strength, Lord."

The Epistles were letters Paul wrote that are now books in the Bible.

2 Samuel – David And Mephibosheth

Abby: In the story where David is merciful to Mephibosheth, I just have one question...

Abby: How long did it take Mephibosheth to learn to spell his name when he was a kid?

Mephibosheth was crippled and King David had him eat at his table for the rest of his life.

1 Chronicles – The Begats

The "begats" of 1 Chronicles and Matthew are important to show the family lineage of Christ.

The Bible is full of exciting stories, but there aren't any car chase scenes!
